Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering goods across long distances in a timely and efficient manner. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our fleet of trucks, delivering goods to their destinations safely, and adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a variety of trucks to transport goods across long distances
- Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines
- Load and unload goods onto trucks, ensuring that they are properly secured for transportation
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on trucks to ensure they are in good working order
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- At least 2 years of experience as a long haul truck driver
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read and follow maps and GPS directions
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and on weekends if required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Good vision and hearing
