Goldies Cafe + Eatery is a vibrant, community-driven café known for elevated brunch, quality ingredients, and warm hospitality. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations and help grow our culinary team.
Position Overview
The Kitchen Manager will oversee daily back-of-house operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency in a fast-paced café environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, leads by example, and enjoys building strong kitchen culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily kitchen operations and service flow
- Lead, train, and schedule kitchen staff
- Maintain high food quality and presentation standards
- Monitor food costs, inventory, ordering, and waste control
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Support menu development and seasonal brunch features
- Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house leadership
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or leadership role
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food costing
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Food Handler Certification preferred
- Availability for weekends and holidays
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
