Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor/Cook to lead our culinary team and ensure the delivery of high-quality food service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a solid background in restaurant and hospitality environments. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the dining experience. The Kitchen Supervisor/Cook will play a vital role in maintaining efficient kitchen workflows, training staff, and ensuring compliance with all food industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Supervise kitchen staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maintain a productive team environment.
- Manage food handling procedures in accordance with safety standards and regulations to ensure food safety and hygiene.
- Utilize POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction management.
- Assist in interviewing and onboarding new kitchen staff, providing training on food safety, preparation techniques, and customer service standards.
- Coordinate with restaurant management to plan menus, control inventory, and ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health codes and safety protocols.
- Monitor customer feedback to improve service quality and address any issues promptly.
- Support hospitality functions by serving guests when necessary and ensuring a welcoming environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management.
- Strong supervisory skills with previous supervising or team management experience.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Experience in interviewing potential staff members and contributing to hiring decisions.
- Background in hospitality or hotel industry is advantageous; barista or serving experience is beneficial.

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
