We are currently recruiting a Delivery Driver/Product Stocker for our service-based client in Windsor, ON. This is a permanent, full-time position.
The Delivery Driver position is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying product that typically weigh 25-40lbs. Product Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills. Qualified applicants must have a valid driver’s G or higher license issued in the state of Ontario.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver and pick product efficiently and effectively
- Learn and properly execute safe and defensive driving methods
- Assist with loading and unloading van as required
- Stocking items as required
- Record, track, and maintain information about delivered packages/product
- Comply with company appearance guidelines by wearing the company provided vest and uniform
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 5 -25 lbs.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficiency in navigating and finding locations using maps, GPS devices, and map books
- Ability to work in hot/cold temperatures when working outdoors and in warehouse facilities.
- Capacity to wear a company-provided uniform and adhere to the company's Appearance Guidelines.
- Possession of a valid Ontario G driver’s license
- Clean Driver's Abstract confirming: a) No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months) b) No accidents and maximum 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
Please note that a Criminal Background verification and clear Drivers Abstract must be met as a condition of employment.
