Job Description: In- Home Caregiver is required for a 4year-old child
Work Setting: Employer's home. Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
Job duties:
- Supervise and care for child while parents are at work
- Oversee child’ activities, such as meals and rest periods
- Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development
- Tend to the emotional well-being of child
- Plan, prepare and serve meals for child and may perform light housekeeping duties as well as laundry
- Take child to and from appointments
- Maintain a healthy environment in the home
- Preferably Filipino to teach about culture and language.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Completion of high school
- At least 6 months of Caregiver training or equivalent, or at least 7 months of full-time paid experience as a child caregiver in the past three years
- CPR and First Aid an asset
- Able to speak, write and read English and Tagalog
- Criminal record check required
Terms of Employment: Full-time, 30 - 40 hours per week (may require evenings and weekends; schedule will be given in advance) Benefits include extended health care, 2 weeks of paid holidays
