Dave Wheaton GM is Vancouver Island’s leader in the domestic automotive market, and we are looking for a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our growing team.
This is a fast-paced role ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, communicates well, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with technicians, service advisors, wholesale customers, and retail clients to ensure parts are sourced, ordered, and delivered efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assisting retail, wholesale, and internal customers with parts inquiries
- Supplying technicians with accurate parts in a timely manner
- Ordering, receiving, stocking, and returning parts
- Maintaining inventory organization and accuracy
- Processing warranty parts and core returns
- Working closely with the service department to support workflow efficiency
- Quoting parts and accessories for customers
- Maintaining a clean and professional parts department
- Participating in inventory counts and cycle counts
- Providing excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and by email
QualificationsPreferred Skills & Experience
- Automotive dealership or parts experience preferred
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Experience with GM products or dealership DMS systems considered an asset
