Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the QC Inspector helps ensure maintenance, repair and overhaul activities meet regulatory requirements, company procedures, and customer quality expectations.
This role also supports the O’Reilly Holdco Quality team as the onsite contact for quality, inspection, and compliance activities.
You will work closely with technicians to review work, complete inspections, support documentation accuracy, and help maintain a safe, compliant, and high-quality operation.
Duties
- Guide technicians on quality control procedures, documentation standards, and aviation regulatory requirements.
- Review work orders for accuracy, completeness, traceability, and compliance with approved procedures.
- Verify parts, tooling, maintenance data, and inspections meet applicable certification, calibration, and documentation requirements.
- Perform in-process and final quality checks to confirm work meets safety, quality, regulatory, and release standards.
- Support technical data interpretation and work with Engineering when clarification is required.
- Identify non-conformities, support root cause analysis, and assist with corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in audits, audit preparation, continuous improvement initiatives, and process reviews.
- Conduct Foreign Object Damage inspections and promote safe, compliant work practices.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and the code of conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of aircraft engine maintenance and quality control experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of CAR 571, CAR 573, and applicable foreign equivalents.
- Ability to interpret engine and component maintenance manuals, technical data, and related documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to support root cause analysis.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and quality-related software.
- Positive, proactive approach to supporting and improving quality systems.
Preference will be given to applicants who also possess:
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015/AS9100/AS9110 accredited organizations.
- Familiarity with data analysis techniques to identify quality trends.
- Familiarity with T53 and/or Rolls-Royce 250 engines
Pay: $38.00-$40.00 per hour
