Overview
The Production & Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing customer orders, production scheduling, and delivery coordination from start to finish. This role ensures that orders are entered correctly, scheduled properly, and delivered on time by coordinating closely with customers, engineering, production, and drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and manage customer orders accurately in the system.
- Provide customer service and respond to order updates, questions, and delivery inquiries.
- Coordinate with sales and engineering to confirm job details before production.
- Create and maintain daily and weekly production schedules.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate with the Yard Foreman to ensure production priorities are followed.
- Schedule and dispatch company drivers and trucks for deliveries.
- Communicate delivery schedules and changes to customers and job sites.
- Track job progress from order entry through delivery.
- Work with the Yard Foreman on material needs and scheduling issues.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, schedules, and deliveries.
- Support smooth communication between all departments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, or customer service preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with order entry or scheduling systems is an asset.
