Job Description:
Answer Trailer Rentals & Sales is looking to add a Heavy Equipment Technician – Transport Truck Mechanic Journeyman. We are a well-known business located in Spruce Grove. Our company is continuously growing and expanding and now it is time to add to our team.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will provide quality workmanship in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of our equipment and customer equipment. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting/diagnostics
- General maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers
- Models Excellent Housekeeping Practices
- Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner
- Heavy Truck CVIP inspections and required repairs
- Trailer CVIP inspections and required repairs
Required Qualifications:
- Heavy Duty - Transport Truck Mechanic with minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Heavy Duty - Transport Trailer Mechanic with minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Transport Truck CVIP license
- Transport Trailer CVIP license
- Highway Trailer and Off-Road Trailer repair experience
- Positive attitude and team player
- Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving ability
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn in house programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding duties
- Safety contentious
- Must be willing to work weekends and/or overtime if required
- Has own tools relevant to the trade for daily use (shop provides specialty tools and equipment)
