Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Guest Service Agent to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued to serve our diverse clientele effectively. Previous hotel or front desk experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Guest Service Agent plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our hospitality services and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, make reservations, and provide information
- Handle guest requests promptly and professionally, including room changes, amenities, and special accommodations
- Provide accurate information about hotel services, local attractions, and dining options
- Maintain detailed records of guest interactions and preferences in the front desk system
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and issues are resolved quickly
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards at all times
- Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, reservations, and documentation as needed
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, and welcoming for guests
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and basic computer applications
- Excellent phone etiquette and professional demeanor in all interactions
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multitasking capabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of local area attractions and hospitality industry standards is beneficial
