Job Description
We are seeking experienced and reliable Hardscape Labourers . The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping, construction, or hardscape installation and be comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work. This role involves installing and maintaining high-quality hardscape features for residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install interlocking pavers for driveways, walkways, patios, pool decks, and other outdoor surfaces.
- Construct retaining walls, garden walls, and decorative stone features.
- Excavate and prepare job sites using hand tools and compact equipment.
- Grade and level surfaces to ensure proper drainage and a stable foundation.
- Install and prepare base materials, including gravel, crushed stone, and sand.
- Install concrete pavers, natural stone, flagstone, and brick according to project requirements.
- Operate landscaping and construction equipment, including plate compactors, cut-off saws, skid steers, mini excavators, and other power tools.
- Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately for proper installation.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required.
- Mix and pour concrete for curbs, footings, and other hardscape structures when needed.
- Perform demolition and removal of existing concrete, asphalt, pavers, and landscaping materials.
- Assist with the installation of drainage systems, edging, and landscape lighting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform heavy lifting (50–75 lbs), repetitive tasks, and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment regularly.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in hardscaping, landscaping, construction, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Experience operating landscaping or construction equipment is an asset.
- Strong work ethic with excellent reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- CSA-approved safety boots required.
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
