Clean Beast Cleaning Services Inc. is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Commercial Property Caretaker to join our growing team.
This role goes beyond traditional cleaning duties. You'll be responsible for maintaining the daily appearance, cleanliness, safety, and presentation of commercial shopping centres while acting as our eyes and ears on site.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their property, notices details others may miss, and communicates professionally with supervisors and property managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily property inspections and maintain high presentation standards throughout the site
- Complete litter and debris collection throughout parking lots, sidewalks, landscaped areas, loading docks and exterior common areas
- Empty garbage and recycling receptacles
- Remove bird droppings, gum, minor oil spills and localized stains where practical
- Remove accessible spider webs from entrances, stairwells and common areas
- Clean loading areas, stairwells, exterior walkways and service corridors
- Monitor vacant units and common areas for cleanliness, damage or unauthorized access
- Relocate abandoned shopping carts from exterior common areas where practical
- Identify and report property deficiencies, safety hazards, graffiti, vandalism, overflowing garbage, damaged parking stops, potholes and other maintenance concerns
- Occasionally respond to biological contamination (including human or animal waste) using appropriate PPE and safety procedures
- Operate light equipment including:
- Backpack leaf blowers
- Pressure washers
- Wet/dry vacuums
- Hand tools
Digital Reporting & Communication (Essential)
This position relies heavily on digital reporting.
Successful candidates must be comfortable:
- Using a smartphone throughout each shift
- Taking clear before-and-after photographs
- Completing digital inspection reports and checklists
- Reporting deficiencies immediately and accurately
- Communicating professionally with supervisors and property managers
- Using mobile apps for scheduling, communication and documentation
Fluent spoken and written English is required.
Qualifications
- Commercial cleaning, caretaker, building maintenance or property maintenance experience is preferred
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, presentable properties
- Physically capable of walking large commercial properties and performing light to moderate lifting
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- WHMIS certification is an asset (training can be provided)

Pay: $19.50-$21.00 per hour
