Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working in dealership settings or with heavy and industrial equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles and machinery, utilizing a broad skill set including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Duties
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues, including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections
- Work on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively
- Operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently when required
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs needed and timelines
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems
- Dealership experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and schematics
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including industrial machinery and power tools
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair tasks
- Strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience working with assembly processes or industrial equipment is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Pay: $18.00-$27.00 per hour
