Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant industry preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation protocols
- Basic math skills for cashiering and bill calculation purposes
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables effectively
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and hospitality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
