Position Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for preventative maintenance, tune-ups, troubleshoot all diesel, gasoline, and propane powered yard equipment.
Responsibilities:

Ensure safety compliance in all work.

Troubleshoot fix yard compressors.

Troubleshoot fix forklifts.
-
Troubleshoot snorkel and scissors lifts.
-
Troubleshoot bantam and yard cranes.
-
Maintain company yard trucks.
-
Assist when required for all ship and tugboat mechanical issues.

Maintain all storage areas as required keeping inventory of all stocked items.
-
Document and keep inventory of minimum and maximum stock levels.

Advise purchasing promptly of any part shortages or supply requests.

Work with employees to find out their needs for the day.

All other duties requested or assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:

Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician (421A) License (preferred).

Propane Certification License (preferred).

Be of legal age to work in Ontario and be a registered Canadian Citizen.

Graduate with Grade Twelve Diploma or equivalent.
-
Must have a clean driving abstract.
