Join our dynamic team as a Renovations Lead Carpenter and take charge of transforming spaces with precision, skill, and leadership. In this vital role, you will oversee renovation projects from start to finish, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Most of our projects are local to Guelph and a typical day is 8-4:30. A vehicle and a valid, clean G licence is a must. You will oversee up to 2 labourers. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate renovation projects, managing timelines, resources, and team members to ensure efficient execution
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings to guide construction activities
- Perform skilled renovation tasks independently and as a team, such as framing, tiling, drywall, hanging doors, installing trim, laying floors
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks
- Oversee quality control measures during construction phases to meet project specifications and safety standards
- Collaborate with project managers to provide accurate construction estimating and material ordering
- Mentor junior team members by sharing technical knowledge and monitor safe work practices and best work practices
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Daily logs for time and work completed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction renovation projects with direct hands on experience in a variety of skilled trade work
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and material management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, suppliers, and team members
- Valid certifications or licenses related to construction trades are preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $26.11-$34.18 per hour
