Overview
British Swim School of Halton is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Swim Instructors / Supervisors to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach life-saving swimming skills to children and adults in a supportive and professional environment.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong swimming skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Prior experience in teaching or swimming is preferred but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided. This position is perfect for individuals looking to make a positive impact in their community while developing their skills in aquatics education.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Instruction: Conduct swimming lessons for children and adults, focusing on water safety, stroke development, and confidence building.
- Safety & Supervision: Supervise swim sessions to ensure the safety of all participants at all times. Enforce safety rules and respond promptly to any emergencies or concerns.
- Operations: Assist with setting up and maintaining pool areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment use. Support the overall organization of classes, including scheduling and participant registration when needed.
- Engagement: Provide clear instructions and encouragement to students of all skill levels. Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes learning and enjoyment of swimming.
Qualifications
- Aquatic Skills: Strong swimming ability with confidence in water safety techniques.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with an approachable demeanor and the ability to work well with children and adults of diverse backgrounds.
- Core Values: Enthusiasm for teaching water skills, promoting water safety awareness, and a strict commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
- Experience: Prior experience in teaching or aquatics is desirable but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
