Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable DZ Driver to join our team for DZ local p&d of alcohol products out of Oakville, ON. This is a long-term role, looking for someone with strong customer service skills, and a hard-working attitude.
Job Specifics
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift - Start time varies between 5am-9am
- Approximately 50-55 Hrs per week
- Straight truck
- $25.76/Hr to start - Once hired on, pay increases to $26.64
- LTL deliveries of alcohol products to grocery stores, restaurants, residences, etc.
- Use of power walkie or other delivery equipment
- Must be comfortable breaking down skids of product and delivering with equipment
- Heavy lifting 50lbs+- Must be willing to do physical work
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Skills
- 3 Years of Verifiable Commercial DZ driving experience
- Experience with city p&d and driving downtown Toronto
- Clean abstract and CVOR
- Proven experience in DZ LTL deliveries with a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Familiarity and experience using a tailgate and power walkie
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- PR Status or Citizen
- Must be a payrolled employee - No Independent contractors!!
