Overview
We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator with fluent Mandarin & Cantonese and prior logistics experience to join our team. This role is critical in managing domestic and international shipments, coordinating with suppliers and freight partners, and ensuring timely, accurate movement of goods. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and services, ensuring that all logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively with various departments within Lucent Quartz , and a keen understanding of supply chain processes.
Duties
- Coordinate and oversee the shipping and receiving of packages to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage inventory levels through effective demand planning and sourcing strategies.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize logistics operations.
- Collaborate with warehouse distribution teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and other logistics-related data.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate records in logistics systems and prepare reports on shipment status, costs, and timelines.
- Track and trace shipments, proactively resolving any issues such as delays, lost goods, or damages.
- Inventory Counting and other Financial Duties for accounting
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and warehouse distribution processes.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken) – a must.
- Minimum 3 or more years of logistics or supply chain experience, preferably in a role dealing with international vendors and CBSA
- Strong knowledge of shipping processes, incoterms, and customs requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP or logistics platforms is an asset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Able to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and solve problems under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills for demand planning and sourcing decisions.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration across departments.
- Proficient in using logistics software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs clearance, and inventory systems.
