Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods and freight.
Dispatch drivers and assign loads based on customer requirements and equipment availability.
Monitor shipment progress and communicate updates to customers and management.
Track trucks using GPS and transportation management systems.
Prepare and maintain shipping documents, bills of lading, manifests, and other transportation records.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.
Communicate with drivers, customers, warehouses, and carriers to resolve delivery issues.
Arrange for maintenance and repairs when necessary to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel usage, mileage, and driver logs.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide freight status updates.
Assist with route planning and load optimization.
Requirements:
Completion of secondary school.
Experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, or supply chain operations is an asset.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with computers, dispatch software, Microsoft Office, and transportation management systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
