Overview
U Pull Trailers is a family-owned trailer manufacturer based in Schomberg, Ontario, building quality utility and multi-purpose trailers. We’re looking for a skilled non-union welder to join our small team and help fabricate trailers from the ground up — from raw steel to finished, road-ready product.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld steel trailer frames, decks, ramps, and components to blueprint specifications
- Perform MIG welding on utility, ATV, and multi-purpose trailer builds
- Cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal parts using hand tools and power equipment
- Inspect finished welds for quality, alignment, and structural integrity
- Work independently and as part of a small shop team to meet production schedules
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all shop safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder, ideally in trailer, truck body, or structural fabrication
- Proficiency in MIG welding; structural steel fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and work orders
- Comfortable working with steel
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence an asset (rural location)
