Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and versatile All-Rounder / Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role involves both cashiering and barista duties, providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced food and beverage environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a positive experience to customers, possess strong multitasking skills, and have experience in food service operations. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cash management, and customer engagement while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash and card payments
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages as a skilled barista, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Greet customers warmly, take orders efficiently, and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle food preparation tasks, including preparing fruit, vegetable, prepare tea, cook toppings, make waffle and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas
- Manage cash handling with accuracy, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices
- Assist with serving food and beverages to customers in a timely manner
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS preferred
- Previous barista experience or knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is highly desirable
- Must possess a valid Food Handler Certificate.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and balancing registers accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Previous experience in the food industry or serving roles is a plus
