Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Basketball Coaches to inspire and develop young athletes in our community. The ideal candidate will foster a positive environment, promote teamwork, and help children improve their basketball skills while emphasizing sportsmanship and personal growth. Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct engaging basketball practices tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Teach fundamental basketball techniques, rules, and strategies in a fun and supportive manner
- Organize and oversee youth games, ensuring safety and fair play
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and good sportsmanship among participants
- Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Assist with organizing team events, tournaments, and community outreach activities
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Support the development of additional skills such as swimming or other recreational activities as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience teaching or coaching youth sports, especially basketball, is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct children and collaborate with parents and staff
- Ability to motivate young athletes and create an inclusive, positive atmosphere
- Knowledge of basic first aid and safety procedures is a plus
- Passion for youth development, sports education, and fostering teamwork
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
- Nice-to-have skills include experience teaching swimming or other recreational activities that can enhance program offerings

Pay: $33.33 per hour
