Industrial Project Manager – Dust Collection & Bulk Material Handling Systems
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager / Technical Lead to join our growing team specializing in dust collection systems, industrial piping, and pneumatic conveying systems for heavy industrial clients.
This is a senior, technically driven role responsible for managing complex industrial projects from concept through to completion, with direct involvement in design coordination, estimating, client development, and field execution.
The successful candidate will bring deep industry knowledge in material handling systems and industrial ventilation, with proven experience working in environments such as:
- Sawmills
- Grain terminals
- Bulk material handling facilities
- Recycling and process plants
- Heavy industrial manufacturing operations
This role is both technical and client-facing, requiring the ability to understand system design, manage execution in the field, and actively support business growth through strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead industrial projects from initial concept, estimating, and design through fabrication, installation, and commissioning
- Act as the primary technical and client-facing representative on assigned projects
- Prepare and review detailed estimates and proposals for dust collection, pneumatic conveying, and industrial piping systems
- Coordinate engineering, drafting (AutoCAD), fabrication, and installation teams to ensure accurate system execution
- Conduct regular site visits to heavy industrial environments, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance
- Interpret and review technical drawings, airflow layouts, piping schematics, and system designs
- Manage project budgets, schedules, change orders, and risk mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and support business development and repeat project growth
- Provide technical input into system design improvements and constructability reviews
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and site-specific requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications
This is a senior-level technical role. Candidates must clearly demonstrate direct, relevant industry experience.
- 5–10+ years of experience in industrial project management, estimating, field engineering, or technical sales/project leadership
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of:
- Dust collection systems
- Industrial piping systems
- Pneumatic conveying systems
- Bulk material handling systems
- Direct experience in industries such as:
- Sawmills
- Grain terminals
- Agricultural processing
- Recycling systems
- Mining or heavy industrial processing
- Experience working with industrial fabrication and installation environments
- Red Seal Sheet Metal Worker certification considered a strong asset
- Strong experience in design coordination and drafting
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms is required or strongly preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and system layouts independently
- Comfortable working in active heavy industrial environments, including:
- Working at heights
- Confined spaces
- Operating industrial facilities and construction sites
