Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team in creating delicious baked goods that delight our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in baking, and possess a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies according to established recipes.
- Package finished products for sale while ensuring quality presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Decorate cakes and other baked items with creativity and precision.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Follow all food preparation guidelines and maintain compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Experience with cake decorating is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends as needed.
