Reporting to the Superintendent, Surface Operations, you will be part of the Surface Operations Department with a focus on Open Pit mining, Site Services, and Earthworks Construction. You will ensure excellent quality of work and processes, maximize operational efficiency, and actively participate in frequent field assessments. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

Supervise subcontractor mining and construction activities and ensure compliance with established targets in volume, quality, and costs while respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, H&S, and the environment;

Coordinate between open pit mining, site services, and construction activities to comply with the short-term mine planning and provide feedback to the engineering team on the operational feasibility of the 3-month rolling mining plan and site operations;
Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma, Trade Certification, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant supervisory experience;
Experience in mining, site services, open pit operations, earthworks construction, or a related industry is considered an asset;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
