Summary
As our Vendor Relationship / Purchasing Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting our supply chain and operational success by managing supplier relationships and coordinating purchasing activities. You will help ensure the timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services needed to support production and business operations.
This role is also intended for someone who can serve as a strong liaison between our internal technical team and external converting/molding partners. You will help coordinate communication related to material requirements, production needs, technical feedback, trial activities, and project timelines to support successful collaboration and product development.
In this role, you will communicate regularly with vendors, coordinate purchase orders, monitor inventory and delivery schedules, maintain procurement records, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will also work closely with internal departments to ensure purchasing activities are accurate, cost-effective, and aligned with company standards.
Responsibilities
· Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and converting/molding partners to support reliable and efficient operations.
· Act as a liaison between the technical team and external converting/molding partners to support product development, material trials, troubleshooting, and ongoing projects.
· Coordinate purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging, equipment, and operational supplies.
· Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders (POs); track deliveries and resolve delays when required.
· Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, product availability, technical requirements, and shipment schedules.
· Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, inventory data, and procurement documentation.
· Assist in evaluating supplier and partner performance related to quality, pricing, delivery, technical support, and service.
· Work closely with production, logistics, R&D, finance, and warehouse teams to support operational requirements.
· Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment planning to minimize shortages or excess inventory.
· Support vendor onboarding, documentation collection, and contract administration activities.
· Resolve purchasing discrepancies, invoice issues, and supplier-related concerns in a timely manner.
· Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.
· Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement within procurement and vendor management processes.
· Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
· 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, vendor coordination, supply chain, plastics manufacturing, or a similar role.
· Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to coordinate between technical and commercial teams.
· Understanding of purchasing processes, supplier coordination, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.
· Experience working with converters, molders, plastics manufacturers, or industrial production environments is considered an asset.
· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an asset.
· Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to proactively address vendor, production, or technical coordination issues.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Knowledge of basic procurement practices, cost analysis, and supplier management is an asset.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
