NOW HIRING FOR KITCHEN MANAGER
The Pinawa Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations and help guide the continued growth of our restaurant services.
This leadership position is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, food quality, staffing, inventory control, cost management, and ensuring a positive, efficient workplace environment.
We are looking for a strong leader who is passionate about food service, team development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and workflow
- Ensure high standards for food quality, preparation, and presentation Manage food ordering, inventory, and supplier relationships Monitor food and labour costs while supporting financial targets Assist with menu planning, specials, and event offerings
- Lead, train, schedule, and support kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations Maintain kitchen equipment and coordinate repair needs Work collaboratively with management, staff, committees, and the Board
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years progressive experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in food service Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with inventory control, ordering, and cost management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a unionized workplace is considered an asset
