Summary
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Development Manager to lead our fundraising and community engagement efforts. This pivotal role involves building partnerships, managing donor relations, and driving initiatives that support our mission to create an inclusive environment for children, youth and adults with autism and other neurodiversities.
Responsibilities
- Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Develop and execute annual fundraising plans and campaigns
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, sponsors, and community supporters
- Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities and revenue streams
- Manage donor recognition and stewardship activities
- Grants & Sponsorships
- Research, write, and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government funders.
- Prepare grant reports and funding impact updates.
- Build and maintain corporate sponsorship and partnership relationships.
- Events & Community Engagement
- Coordinate fundraising events and third-party community fundraisers.
- Engage volunteers, supporters, and community stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities.
- Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate donor records and fundraising databases.
- Track fundraising performance and prepare reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Assist with budget planning and revenue forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with fundraising best practices and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in nonprofit development or fundraising.
- Minimum 3–5 years of fundraising, development, or nonprofit experience.
- Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, fundraising campaigns, or grant writing.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build partnerships.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge is a plus.
- Excellent budgeting and financial management skills.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools including Mailchimp, WordPress, and email marketing platforms.
- Ability to research funding opportunities and prepare compelling proposals.
- Passion for supporting the neurodivergent community and commitment to our mission.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- CFRE designation or actively working toward CFRE certification.
- Experience in the charitable, health, disability, education, or social services sectors.
- Knowledge of the Ontario nonprofit and charitable sector.

Pay: $63,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
