Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. The Server will play a vital role in delivering memorable dining experiences and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are maintained
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, tables, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support overall restaurant operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly and courteously, addressing any concerns professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Food handling certification or knowledge of food safety practices is a plus
- Experience with food industry operations, serving, or hospitality enhances performance in this role
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
