Role Overview
We are currently seeking both 310S Licensed Automotive Technicians and Registered 310S Automotive Apprentices (Level 1–4) to join a busy and professional automotive repair facility in Barrie, Ontario. This opportunity is ideal for experienced licensed technicians looking for long-term career growth, as well as apprentices eager to develop their skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Repair and service engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, alignments, and fluid replacements.
- Mount, balance, repair, and install tires and wheels.
- Conduct road tests when required.
- Complete repair orders accurately and maintain service records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to ensure quality customer service.
- Apprentices will work closely with Licensed 310S Technicians while progressing through their apprenticeship program.
Qualifications
For Licensed Technicians
- Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician License.
- Strong diagnostic and repair experience.
- Experience in a dealership or independent repair facility is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License.
- Own professional tools.
For Apprentices
- Registered 310S Automotive Apprentice with Skilled Trades Ontario (Level 1–4).
- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow within the trade.
- Valid Ontario G or G2 Driver's License is considered an asset.
- Own basic tools or willingness to build a professional tool set.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on domestic and import vehicles.
- Knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Protractor is considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
