A tradition in the Maritimes and Maine for more than 40 years, Mrs. Dunster’s is a family owned and operated bakery with bakeries in Sussex and Moncton, New Brunswick, producing a full range of sweet goods, donuts, cookies, artisan, and home-style bread and roll products.
We are currently looking for a Sanitation Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Sanitation Lead, the Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitization bakery equipment as well as general cleaning of the facility. You will be trained and educated on lock out procedures, safe practices when it comes to equipment handling, WHMIS 2015 and chemicals specific to the facility.
**Please note: The shifts for this position will be night shift** Subject to change based on business needs
Required Qualifications:
- Must be available for weekends.
- Dependable, punctual as working in a safe, clean and healthy work environment is extremely important to operation.
- Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations including health and safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to learn quickly, pays attention to detail as working with bakery equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as production runs on a schedule.
- Highly motivated and team oriented as the sanitation crew works together to achieve all their daily requirements.
- Works in a safe and responsible manner in all aspects of the job.
- MUST be mechanically inclined as you will be performing deep cleaning on the lines with Maintenance assisting.
Primary Duties:
- Ensure equipment is cleaned as per production schedules allows.
- Cleaning of all production equipment based on its needs (this may include scrubbing, washing).
- Janitorial work, repetitive tasks, and heavy lifting.
- Safety minded, efficient and attention to detail.
- Follow all necessary steps required in cleaning of all equipment.
- Ensure checklist are followed and used properly.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is maintained and kept up to date.
