Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Alarm Installer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining security alarm systems for customers.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including blueprint reading and familiarity with low-voltage systems, along with the personal qualities needed to thrive in a collaborative work environment. Requirements
- Valid Security Worker License (Alarm Installer)
- Valid BC Driver's License
- Experience with alarm systems (intrusion, CCTV, access control)
- Fire alarm experience is a strong advantage
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Language skills preferred: Mandarin, Cantonese, and English
- Alarm and Security Systems Experience (1-3 years Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Install and configure security alarm systems, including sensors, and CCTV cameras
- Perform fire alarm installation and servicing (asset)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate system setup.
- Use hand tools and power tools to mount equipment, run wiring, and perform system connections.
- Conduct system testing to verify proper operation of alarms, sensors, CCTV, smart home, telecommunications and networking components.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on existing security systems.
- Conduct inspections and documentation
- Provide on site customer support and technical assistance
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards

Experience
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is essential for accurate installations.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, computer networking, and low voltage wiring is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, sensors, mechanical components, and schematics is required.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in various environments and possess strong problem-solving skills to ensure successful system installations.
