Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and safety standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. Experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel settings is highly valued, along with proficiency in food handling, POS systems such as Micros POS, and team management.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations to ensure high-quality customer experiences
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes adhering to food safety standards
- Manage cash handling and POS transactions efficiently using Micros POS or similar systems
- Lead, train, and evaluate team members; participate in interviewing and onboarding new staff
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety protocols, and sanitation procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain excellent service standards
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining area while supervising staff to uphold cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, staffing schedules, and operational improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant management; supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for cash handling and order processing
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to oversee food safety compliance and sanitation standards rigorously
- Previous experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or bars (Barista experience is a plus)
- Strong communication skills for interviewing staff and coordinating team efforts
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
