you'll carry the floor of a small dining room — reading pace, knowing the plate, and moving between tables in a way that feels attentive rather than watched. the menu changes with the season; you'll know it well enough to talk about it honestly, not recite it. a good service here is quiet and specific.
What You'll Do
- table service in a small dining room (twenty seats indoor; patio adds capacity may–september)
- menu and wine fluency — you'll be trained, but you'll read on your own
- pacing the table through a tasting menu
- attentive presence without hovering
- closing duties: polish, side-work, reset
What We're Looking For
- genuine floor presence — not necessarily fine-dining experience, but real hospitality instinct
- comfortable talking about food and wine without performing expertise
- the room is small, the team smaller: you'll be known and relied on
- if service is something you're good at and actually enjoy, we want to hear from you
- Smart Serve / Responsible Beverage Service certification an asset
Compensation & Schedule
- $16.35/hour + share of the gratuity pool (the pool is the meaningful number)
- five evenings a week
- seasonal: may through october 2026
- staff meal nightly
