Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Florist/Shop Manager to lead our flower shop. This role involves overseeing daily shop operations, creating stunning floral arrangements, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a flair for design, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As a key member of our team, you will ensure the shop maintains high standards in product quality, merchandising, and customer satisfaction while fostering a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.
Duties
- Lead floral design efforts, creating custom arrangements for various occasions including weddings, events, and retail sales
- Manage daily shop operations, including inventory control, merchandising, and maintaining visual displays
- Oversee sales transactions utilizing POS systems and handle cash handling with accuracy
- Supervise and train staff on floral techniques, customer service protocols, and retail procedures
- Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to expand online sales channels
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with product selection and floral consultations
- Maintain organized records of sales, inventory levels, and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and uphold cleanliness in the work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in floral design and shop management or related retail environment
- Strong knowledge of houseplants and their care is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and retail sales operations
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Customer service-oriented mindset with strong sales skills
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online product promotion and sales
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment
