Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team in providing high-quality food service to our customers. This role is essential in ensuring quick, accurate, and safe preparation of sandwiches and related menu items. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent customer service skills, and experience in the food industry. Prior restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and cleanliness are paramount.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide excellent customer service at the counter
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all menu items
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, for efficient order processing
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Reliable work ethic with a focus on teamwork and cleanliness
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
