Midwest Industrial Services provides hydrovacing, directional drilling, above and below ground fiber installation and related services to telecommunication utilities, pipelines, and other industries across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. At Midwest you will have the opportunity to gain a broad range of skills and will work with multiple enthusiastic teams and the local community to complete important and exciting infrastructure projects.
Job Summary
Hydrovac operators perform activities including hydro-excavating, power washing, filling out daily Job Hazard Assessment forms, maintaining a safe working environment, maintaining equipment, working in a team environment, and other tasks as required. Clear and professional communication is key to safety and is required on all of our job sites.
General Work Details
- Wage: $22-36 per hour, depending on experience
- 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week
- Overtime pay available
General Requirements & Expectations
- All applicants must provide and pass a pre-employment criminal record check
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear proper PPE at all times while on the job,
- Possess strong communication skills
Requirements and Expectations
- Class 1 or 3 License with air required – We are willing to train applicants with these licenses.
- Perform physically demanding work – applicants should be able to lift 50lbs, work on their feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
