We are currently looking for a motivated sales consultant, with a focus on lumber and building materials. Applicants must maintain a profitable and professional relationship with local builders, contractors, homeowners and suppliers.
The following is required for this position:
- Excellent math skills.
- Able to navigate basic sales software - with training.
- Solid understanding of building practices and product.
- Able to read blueprints and create material take offs.
- Communicate product knowledge to the customer as appropriate.
- Be familiar with and maintain up-to-date information on pricing.
- Process special orders for non-stock or out of stock items.
- Willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base.
- Friendly and helpful attitude toward customers.
- Available weekdays, evenings and weekends.
