Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, exceptional customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail. The Hair Stylist will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services, maintaining sanitation standards, and contributing to the overall success of the salon through retail sales and excellent communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling to meet client preferences and needs
- Ensure all tools and workstations are sanitized and maintained according to health and safety standards
- Deliver outstanding customer service by creating a friendly, professional environment that encourages repeat business
- Assist clients in selecting retail products that complement their hair care routines, upselling when appropriate
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired outcomes and offer expert recommendations
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques to continually enhance skills and service offerings
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role within a salon setting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques, coloring, treatments, and sanitation protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to upsell retail products in a professional manner
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required
- A valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations
