Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Server to join our brand new top tier food trailer on Sarson's Beach. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth operations, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on food safety and sanitation. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while delivering memorable dining experiences.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Clover POS
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently and accurately
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and quality
- Assist with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks as needed
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining and service areas
- Ensure food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy service periods to serve guests promptly
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Support team members in maintaining a positive and efficient work environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Clover POS, is a plus
- Strong skills in cashiering, food handling, and customer service are highly desirable
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience with food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen operations will be considered an asset
- Candidates should demonstrate good time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
