Jo & Co. Photography is looking for a creative and organized freelance social media & marketing assistant to help grow visibility, inquiries, and bookings in the Toronto/GTA area.
We are a photography brand specializing in weddings, couples, and family photography, currently expanding and growing our presence in Toronto after previously working in Vancouver. We’re looking for someone who understands personal brands, storytelling, Instagram marketing, and the wedding/lifestyle industry.
This role is ideal for someone creative, collaborative, and social-media savvy who enjoys helping small brands grow.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Instagram strategy and content planning
- Help brainstorm reels/video ideas and social media content
- Help keep posting and marketing consistent/accountable
- Manage and monitor Instagram/Facebook ads
- Assist with Google Ads setup and optimization
- Help improve visibility and generate inquiries/bookings
- Research local trends, hashtags, and opportunities
- Collaborate on branding direction and audience growth
- Optional: assist with captions/content organization
Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience with Instagram marketing and Meta Ads
- Understands personal brands, creatives, photographers, or wedding industry marketing
- Is organized, proactive, and creative
- Understands current social media trends and short-form video content
- Can help simplify strategy and keep things on track
- Has experience generating leads/bookings (not just followers)
Details
- Freelance / Primarily remote
- Toronto/GTA preferred, as we may occasionally want assistance with filming content or behind-the-scenes footage
- Flexible hours (approximately 5–10 hours/week to start)
- Potential for long-term collaboration
