We are seeking a skilled Road Layout & Elevation Technician to join our construction team. This role plays a key part in delivering accurate road building by handling layout, grade control, and elevation verification using modern GPS and surveying tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform road layout using GPS, total station, and conventional surveying methods
- Set and verify elevations, grades, and slopes for road construction
- Read and interpret blueprints, profiles, and cross-sections
- Collaborate with grader operators and site supervisors
- Upload and manage digital terrain models (DTMs) and site data
- Check finished grades and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment
Requirements:
- Experience in road layout, surveying, or grade checking
- Solid understanding of elevation control, drainage, and road design
- Familiarity with GPS machine control systems
- Ability to read engineering drawings and site plans
- Strong math, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Experience operating equipment such as skid steer, excavator, and roller
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
