Savorra Culinary Academy is a new hands-on cooking studio opening in Kensington, Calgary. We offer public cooking classes, private events, corporate experiences, and summer kids cooking camps in a warm, creative, and welcoming environment.
Our space is designed to feel more personal and experience-focused than a traditional restaurant. Guests come to cook, learn, connect, and enjoy food together - and our team plays a big part in making that experience feel smooth, organized, and memorable.

Job Description
We are looking for a polished, friendly, and reliable Event Server / Cooking Class Assistant to help create a smooth and welcoming experience for our guests.
This role is a mix of hospitality, light event support, food and beverage service, and class assistance. It is not a traditional restaurant server position - our events are more intimate, structured, and experience-focused.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and help create a friendly atmosphere
- Assist with event setup, table setting, glassware, and dining area preparation
- Serve food and beverages during public classes and private events
- Assist with wine service when required
- Help clear plates, reset tables, and support cleanup
- Communicate with the chef instructor and event team during service
- Help guests with basic questions and directions during the class/event
- Support the overall flow of the guest experience from arrival to closing
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of hospitality, serving, event, or customer service experience required
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable speaking with guests
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Able to move quickly while staying calm and organized
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends
- ProServe certification is required or must be completed before starting
- Interest in food, wine, events, or hospitality is an asset
