Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring all dishes meet our high standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Cook a variety of dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Assist with food plating and presentation for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces
- Support the team during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and kitchen operations
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages
Qualifications
- Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper sanitation practices is essential
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for motivated learners willing to grow in the culinary field
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus
