About Cultivated Cabinetry
At Cultivated Cabinetry, we create highly custom, thoughtfully designed cabinetry that brings functionality and beauty into every space. We're a family-run business known for integrity, craftsmanship, and a client first mindset. Our work is rooted in care, clear communication, and excellence. Quick and Dirty doesn’t belong here. With a growing number of satisfied customers and a strong reputation in Calgary, we’re looking to expand our team with a dedicated craftsperson who shares our values.
As our company grows, we're looking for an experienced Journeyman Cabinet Installer who wants to be part of a team that values excellence, ownership, and professionalism.
The Role
This is not a production-line installation position.
We're looking for an experienced installer who can confidently lead installations, solve problems independently, communicate professionally with homeowners, and consistently deliver a high-quality finished product.
You'll be installing a wide variety of custom cabinetry and millwork in occupied homes and renovation environments. Every project is different, and we're looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of thinking through details rather than simply following a repetitive routine. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, notices details others miss, and leaves every project better than they found it.
Responsibilities
- Install custom kitchens, vanities, closets, built-ins, mudrooms, media units, floating shelves, wall paneling, and architectural millwork
- Read and interpret detailed shop drawings and installation plans

- Identify site conditions and proactively solve installation challenges
- Complete cabinetry modifications and adjustments on-site when necessary
- Install fillers, crown moulding, decorative panels, hardware, and accessories to a high standard
- Ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining quality expectations
- Provide feedback to production team creating a more streamlined process from production to installation
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, project managers, and trade partners
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Complete service calls and deficiency corrections when required
- Assist with shop preparation, cabinet loading, and project staging
- Represent Cultivated Cabinetry professionally at all times
Qualifications
Required
- Journeyman Cabinetmaker certification
- Minimum 3 years experience working as a Journeyman Cabinetmaker
- Minimum 5 years total experience in cabinetry and millwork
- Strong installation experience in residential custom cabinetry
- Ability to independently read and interpret shop drawings

Preferred
- Experience with high-end residential cabinetry
- Experience with custom millwork and architectural woodworking
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior installers
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and finishing trades
- Experience working in renovation and occupied-home environments
What Success Looks Like
