Overview
Support individuals in achieving their employment goals through assessments, personalized employment planning, career coaching, job search assistance, and ongoing employment support. Work with clients individually and in group settings to address barriers to employment and promote successful workforce participation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, supervise, and support the administration of the assessment and testing functions of the program to identify client barriers, strengths, experience, and resources.
- Adapting to each client's unique needs to provide employment development activities and coaching
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client files, including online database
- Work collaboratively with other staff to meet all requirements of program
- Participate in weekly case management meetings discussing service management for each client, as required
- Follow-up with clients for up to 365 days
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field, Career Development certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting individuals facing employment and life barriers, preferably in employment services, career development, social services, or a related client-focused environment.
- Strong assessment, coaching, and client service skills with the ability to build rapport and support diverse client needs.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and experience facilitating individual or group learning sessions is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
