Panorama Optometry is a modern, patient-focused eye care clinic dedicated to providing high-quality vision care in a friendly and professional environment. We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Optometric Assistant / Vision Therapist to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone interested in optometry, healthcare, or vision therapy, and who enjoys working closely with patients in a clinical setting. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare patients for their eye examinations
- Perform diagnostic pretesting including:
- Autorefraction
- Non-contact tonometry (NCT)
- Retinal imaging
- Visual field screening
- Assist with vision therapy sessions and patient exercises under doctor supervision
- Accurately enter patient information and maintain electronic health records
- Explain testing procedures and vision therapy programs to patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical equipment and testing areas
- Assist with other clinical or front desk tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, healthcare, or vision therapy is an asset but not required
- Willingness to learn and be trained on diagnostic equipment and vision therapy techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment
- Comfortable using computers and electronic medical record systems
- Passion for patient care
Schedule
- Part-time position with opportunity to transition into full-time
- Monday to Saturday availability preferred
- Hours may vary based on clinic needs
