Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Asbestos Abatement Technician to safely identify, contain, and remove asbestos-containing materials in compliance with all safety regulations. This role also supports restoration projects, including fire and water damage, mold remediation, and general cleanup.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in high-risk abatement, is proficient with tools and equipment, and maintains strict safety standards. Responsibilities include performing abatement work, handling hazardous materials, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Candidates must hold a valid Level 3 certification, have restoration industry experience, and be physically capable of demanding work in various environments.
Duties
- Safely perform asbestos abatement procedures following strict safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Identify asbestos-containing materials through inspection and testing, ensuring proper handling and disposal.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to remove or encapsulate asbestos materials effectively.
- Assist with cleaning tasks related to fire restoration, water damage restoration, mold remediation, and general cleanup activities.
- Support other restoration efforts by using tools such as carpet cleaners, construction hand tools, and fire or water damage equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of abatement activities, safety procedures, and disposal records for compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Valid Level 3 asbestos abatement certification (highest available certification) demonstrating expertise in asbestos removal.
- Proven experience in the restoration industry with knowledge of fire restoration, water damage repair, mold remediation, and general construction cleanup.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning and mold remediation processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to asbestos handling and environmental hazards.
- Excellent physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow detailed instructions.
