Position Summary
Under the direction of Associate Vice President, Workforce Development, the Business Development Manager is responsible for advancing the College’s mandate as a public postsecondary institution by developing and sustaining strategic partnerships with industry, employers, government, and community. The position leads employer engagement initiatives that support corporate and contract training growth, postsecondary program alignment, and workforce development strategies. The incumbent identifies emerging labour market needs, facilitates partnership development, supports applied learning opportunities, and contributes to revenue generation while ensuring alignment with academic priorities, public accountability requirements, and institutional strategic goals.

3 year diploma/degree or equivalent education
Specific course(s), certification, qualification, formal training or accreditation required for the position
Additional Requirements
Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and sustain employer and community partnerships
Business development and revenue generation skills
Strong negotiation, proposal writing, and presentation skills
Knowledge of labour market analysis and workforce development frameworks
Experience using CRM systems and data reporting tools
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
Knowledge of northwestern Ontario or northeastern Ontario, and consistent experience working with and in service to Indigenous Communities/leaders in this area
Field(s) of Study
Minimum three-year diploma or degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Project Management, or related field.
